In the roundtable discussion, we asked questions about how the product has been improved since the renewal, such as "What is different from before the renewal?", "What prompted you to purchase it?", "How do you use it?", and "In what situations do you usually use it?", and other questions that potential buyers are particularly interested in.

■How did you first find out about the POMULU 2WAY Hip Seat? "It's exactly what I've always wanted" and "It has a design that makes it easy to use on a daily basis."
--For those of you who used the product before the renewal, please tell us how you found out about POMULU and what made you decide to buy it!
Sakihara: I purchased it through crowdfunding on Makuake, but I first found out about it on Instagram and thought, "What is this?" That was my first encounter with it.
When I looked at the details, it was exactly what I was looking for and what I had hoped would be there.
Many of the hip sheets I saw online that could be worn around the waist were too small to fit anything inside.
At the time, I was pregnant with my fourth child, and since I was always with my third child, who had just started walking, I couldn't use a baby carrier or a hip seat.
When my fourth child was born, I was struggling with how to hold my children, and after searching for various items, I couldn't find anything that really caught my eye. Finally, I came across the POMULU 2WAY Hip Seat on Makuake. I often tell this story to my friends.

Shinagawa: When my oldest child was about 1 year and 3 months old, he refused to use a baby carrier, and there was a time when I was worried about what to do.
I was looking for a hip seat for a relative's wedding and found this product on Makuake, but the shipping schedule meant it wouldn't arrive in time for the wedding, so I bought a different product from another company and used it instead. However, it didn't have any storage, so I really wanted something with storage, and decided to purchase it on Makuake. Since the product arrived, I haven't used the previous one and have been using the POMULU 2WAY Hip Seat ever since.
Now that our youngest child can stand up, we expect to continue using this product a lot. My wife wanted the revamped product, so she applied for this promotion and is delighted to receive the new product.

Imayasu: I was mainly using a baby carrier, so I wanted something that would make it easier to support my child. I was using a hip seat that could be turned into a shoulder bag, but I was thinking that I wanted a bit more capacity and more pockets. That's when I was browsing Makuake and came across this product. It had a lot more features than the one I had and was really great, so I decided I had to have it and purchased it on Makuake.
When I heard that it had been renewed, I definitely wanted to buy it, and I also wanted to use it with my husband, so I was thinking about getting another one, and at that time this campaign was opening up, so I applied for the monitor campaign.
Since children are basically held in their arms, lifting and lowering them can be quite a challenge, but with this product, you can hold them in just two steps, so I use it a lot.
I always take it with me when I go out.

Igarashi (Ryu): I found out about it through reviews on a hip seat comparison site. I carry a lot of luggage, so I wanted a hip seat that I could easily get on and off, so I looked around for one. I tried using a type that couldn't be stored, but I was worried about it being too bulky because I carry so much luggage.
Since my child started walking, he has been alternating between wanting to walk and being held more frequently, so I wanted something that would allow us to go out more easily, and I started looking for a new hip seat. That's when I found out that a revamped POMULU 2WAY hip seat was coming out, and I considered buying one.

--Thank you very much. I'm very happy to have had the opportunity to hear so much about your story and what led you to purchase this product.
■What are your thoughts compared to before the renewal? "It goes with any outfit!" "Suitable for outings with or without kids." "I'm glad it has a D-ring."
--Today, we have some people who already had the pre-renewal version and some who are trying out the new version for the first time, so I'd love to hear from you and compare the two. How do you feel about the new version compared to the pre-renewal version?
Sakihara: I often use the same bag when I go out, whether I have a child or not, so ever since I got the POMULU 2WAY Hip Seat, it's been my only choice. However, I usually wear neutral-colored clothes, so before the color variations came out, I sometimes wondered if it wouldn't go with my outfit. But now that the color variations are out and I've been able to get the ivory one, I don't have to worry about that at all. But actually, I was also considering the pink one (laughs).
So I thought it was great that it didn't interfere with fashion.
My favorite feature is that the main pocket now has a zippered pocket where you can put tickets, etc. The mesh pocket on the other side also has a divider, making it easier to use.
--When people notice the small details of the renewal, I feel so happy that I could cry...I'm actually crying.
We decided to renew the app because we wanted to somehow put into shape the ideas our users had expressed in surveys and events, such as "I wish it was more like this," and it makes us really happy to hear from users who have actually used the app and told us that it's easier to use.
Shinagawa-san: My wife was very happy when we saw the new color variations.
I'm happy that the practical aspects have been improved. In terms of storage, I don't often just put in a few different things, but rather a few diapers (I never put in just one), so I'm grateful for the large capacity.
Also, the previous model didn't have a D-ring, so I had to attach a carabiner to the shoulder strap so I could hang a drink on it, but the new model has a D-ring, which was a nice feature. It can be used stylishly.
--I often hear men say, "I don't think I need this much storage," but as you just said, it would be nice if they could put bulky items like diapers in it, or things that mothers would actually like to put in it, and divide up the tasks.
Shinagawa: When I take my child to the hospital, I can put things like their health insurance card in a sub-pocket so they're easy to take out, and I also think it's easy to use because the compartments are divided into smaller sections.
Imayasu-san: I can't quite remember, but the zipper on the back pocket was only on one side, right?
——Yes, that's right.
Imayasu-san: That's right! I was so happy to think that it was on both sides!
I thought it would be really convenient to be able to open it from both sides.
--You really noticed that. That's impressive (laughs). We received many requests for this, so we decided to incorporate it.
Imayasu-san: Even when I go out for a bit, if I can carry my baby in a bag that can fit everything, I feel a sense of security knowing that I'll be able to handle it even if my baby tells me to "hold him" or, in the worst case scenario, I have to hold him the whole time. I also like that it has a D-ring.
--I'm very happy to hear that you feel reassured. Thank you.

■What about the POMULU 2WAY hip seat debut? "It gives me a sense of security," "Color variations are important," "It has lots of pockets," and "It's good that it can be washed."
--You've talked about the new features compared to the previous version, but what did you think when you first used the Pomur 2WAY Hip Seat?
Igarashi (Rin): After using a product from another company, I used this product and felt like the seat was enveloping my child, giving me a sense of security. And then there's the color options. The lack of color options was one of the reasons I hadn't bought a hip seat, so this was very important. I was impressed by the attention to detail in the colors of the buckles and zippers, and the look was what really attracted me.
I love childcare products so much that I'd like to make a mother's bag, but I'm also looking at it from an outside user's perspective, like maybe using this color as inspiration (laughs). I also like how soft it feels to the touch.

Igarashi (Ryu): I thought it was very easy to use. It's great that it has lots of pockets, and it also has a pocket hook, so you can decide where to store your keys. I once accidentally put my keys in my child's kindergarten bag and took them away, so I'm really grateful to be able to make sure I never let them go (laughs).
This will prevent you from unconsciously putting something in somewhere.
Also, I currently have a train keychain attached to a D-ring, and my older child loves trains, so he enjoys changing it out to a different train every day.
Also, although I don't actually wear them, it would be nice to add a hat or handkerchief.
--Handkerchiefs get soaked quickly, so I think it would be nice to attach a clip to the D-ring and hang the handkerchief up to dry!
Sakihara: The best thing about this bag is how easy it is to adjust the size, and the adjustable string can be rolled up. The sub-pocket is also easy to use and just the right size for a smartphone.
--In fact, the sub-pocket has also been made a size larger so that it can easily fit a wallet or a larger smartphone.
Igarashi (Ryu): Have you been able to do laundry for a while now?
——Yes, you can do laundry from the front.
When we were renewing the product, there was talk of using a waterproof fabric that didn't need to be washed, but the overwhelming majority of people said that washable fabric would be better, so we chose a washable fabric again this time.
Sakihara: I definitely want to wash the ivory...
Igarashi (Ryu): Even if the dirt doesn't come off, you can feel reassured knowing that it can be washed.
--The concept is that it can be used even after you stop holding your baby, so we would be happy if you would wash it and keep it clean.

■In what situations do you actually use it? "At the theme park," "On the way home from the park," "Even if you only have one child, I recommend one for each couple," "Everything for the child in one."
--Could you tell us specifically how you actually use it, such as for taking your child to and from daycare or putting them to sleep?
Sakihara: I don't use it at home, but I definitely use it when I go out.
Sometimes I use it on top of my younger child while he is in a baby carrier.
I always use it when I go to theme parks, and it's extremely popular while waiting in line, with everyone wanting to ride it (lol). The new ivory color is especially popular among the kids riding it.
We have rules, such as only carrying a little bit of a 4-year-old because they are heavy.
I took the train alone today as usual, and used it as a cute shoulder bag.
Shinagawa: When I take two kids to nursery school at the same time, I take one in a stroller and the other either walks or uses a POMULU 2WAY hip seat.
I often use it on the way back from the park.
It often happens that he won't walk, so I use it right away when that happens.

Sakihara: It can be used in any situation.
Once I give it to my husband, the contents become his and it comes back to him, so we have different colors and each of us has one. I would love for couples to each use one. Even if there is only one child, I would like each couple to use one bag without swapping the contents.
Imayasu: I would like couples to each have one. That way, children will feel comfortable being held by both of them, and there are only good things about it.
The other day, when I went on a two-day, one-night trip, I was the only one using it, but it can hold everything, so I was able to put all my belongings in it, and if my child got a little fussy on the train, I could quickly pick him up.I was grateful that I could take care of everything for my child with just this one item.
Igarashi (Rin): Today, I was on the train for an hour, and when I sat down with my baby in my arms, I was able to face him, which was great, and he almost fell asleep easily, so it was very convenient.
From now on, when I get off at a service area, I'll be able to quickly go to the bathroom with my baby in my arms in the Pomul, without having to fumble around preparing and folding up the stroller. I also think it's nice to be able to go to the bathroom with my bag on my back (lol).
--That (the restroom) is really convenient, isn't it...?
You can wear it to the toilet, while riding a bicycle, and even wear it as a shoulder bag when fastening your seat belt in a car without any problems.

Igarashi (Rin): I actually thought about putting my baby in a stroller today, but I was able to get by with just the POMULU 2WAY Hip Seat. There are many places where you can rent strollers outside these days, so I'm starting to think that this might be all I need for getting around for now.
Igarashi (Ryu): I always take it with me when I go to the park. I have two children, so I take it with me along with the stroller.
I'm happy that it only takes two steps to hold the baby.
■The only thing I want to say about POMULU is, "It's a great gift for a newborn!" "I highly recommend it!" "Anyone can use it."
--If you have any stories about POMULU that you really want to share, please let us know!
Sakihara: They are incredibly happy with the baby gifts! For various reasons, I can't meet them right after the birth, but when I can go and see them when they are about six months old, I ask them, "You haven't bought one yet, have you? How about a hip seat?" and if they really want one, I usually give it to them as a gift. Also, when I recommend it to friends who have children of a similar age, they are almost always interested. As a mom with many children, I would love to introduce some recommended childcare products.
Shinagawa: I often recommend it to colleagues and friends I have family connections with.
However, men rarely talk to each other, so when it comes to things like childcare products, I feel like the conversation is more likely to be spread by women, who hear about it from their wives.
Imayasu: Anyone can wear it, regardless of size, so I often give the POMULU 2WAY Hip Seat to my parents who live nearby when they look after my child. Unlike a baby carrier, it's easy to adjust the size, and most importantly, it's easy to use, so I give it to them thinking that anyone can use it.
Since anyone can use it, I have given it as a baby shower gift and it was well received.
I've heard that things like this didn't exist in my parents' generation, but that it definitely makes a difference when they do.
Igarashi (Rin): My husband wasn't the type to use a baby carrier, but I think he's interested in the POMULU 2WAY hip seat and would use it, and I think my parents would use it too. I also like that the design is something you can share with anyone.
Igarashi (Ryu): My husband hasn't used it yet, but he says it looks easy to use. Sizes vary from person to person, but with this one, I don't have to worry about the size, which is great.

--We are so touched that you have actually used it, recommended it to your friends, and said that you want to continue using it. We are so happy that you chose this as a baby gift, even though there are so many products out there, and it is something that cannot be used immediately after the baby is born.
In fact, we were the first to sell this type of 2-way hip seat in Japan, and since then, many different products have been released, with many pros and cons being discussed. However, we received requests for this product and decided to renew it.
We have received a lot of feedback from many people, so we are confident that we will be able to continue to provide you with good reports and information, and we look forward to receiving your opinions in the future.
I think I was able to talk to you today about more than I wanted to talk about.
I learned a lot from this experience and am very grateful for the connections I have made through POMULU. Thank you very much for today.
